  I've lived in groveton green for about 6 months now. The staff is AMAZING! Very professional and responsive. The maintenance staff is very friendly and thorough. The amenities are really really nice. I have had several various problems come up, and each time the staff and managers were right on it. Very easy to communicate with. The reason this review isn't 5 stars is because the walls are SO THIN! I can literally hear my neighbor's cell phone alarm going off everyday. We can feel the side door slam on the side of the building. Our upstairs neighbors sound like elephants. If someone is outside with thier car radio turned up and their windows down, I can hear it through my window/walls. Summer parties at the pool, I can hear the music all the way down in my apartment. I think maybe these buildings were poorly constructed. So as nice as they are, I wouldn't say theyre worth the money it costs to live here.

  My boyfriend and I just renewed our lease for another year and after reading some of the reviews that have been recently posted, I can relate, however my opinions are less...extreme. First, the mention about the weed. It was coming from the stairwell, and after many run-ins with the kids, it seems like management finally got them to stop...thank goodness. The maintenance workers and cleaners are such great people, you can tell they really enjoy working here. An issue that I have is the people who live here who use the outdoor stove don't always turn it off, so the gas is leaking out of the stove and I have had to turn it off when walking my dog when I notice it...Kind of dangerous...but it's only occasional danger. Another issue I have is the windows - as WONDERFUL and BRIGHT as they are - they do let a lot of cold air in during the winter and makes your apartment cold...soo it's just best to leave the blinds closed to save on heating costs. My experience with the community is that the people are very friendly, I like that it's walking distance to Weis (even though crossing Lakeside is an adventure in itself), a short trip to Wegmans (LOVE) and there are many trails close by for a walk with my puppers. And yes..the gate is constantly broken - but literally nothing changes. The same people come in and go out...and the gate is actually more annoying and provides a false sense of security and probably more of a pain in the ass for everyone involved! All in all, I give 3.5 to 4 stars. The apartment rooms are HUGE and the amenities are pretty fantastic for a price you can't beat in Baltimore County. There will always be people who can't see past their one bad experience...but there's a lot LOT worse apartments out there..I feel lucky for finding this imperfect gem.
